Valledoria and San Pietro a Mare are at the center of the Baia dei Tramonti, Valledoria is known by all as "Codaruina" and is one of the most important Valle del Coghinas. In a sense, it is the commercial center of the Baia dei Tramonti, making tourism its most active strength related to the agricultural sector, which has always been a pillar of the local economy, where products such as the spiny artichoke DOP represent it all over the world . The main beach of Valledoria is San Pietro a Mare, with its extensive pine forest and a 5 km golden sandy beach, a beach with all the bathing services, and flanked by the SIC (site of community interest) of the Foce, a magnificent oasis , pride of the population. Valledoria has two Marine hamlets, the first being Muddizza, a small hamlet overlooking San Pietro a Mare, and is not far from the more intimate beaches of Maragnani and La Ciaccia which is well connected through a pedestrian and cycle path, from real estate point of view offers a suggestive sea view. The second Marine Village is La Ciaccia, also a small village with excellent services and close to the beaches, to underline the access to the beaches of Margnani and San Pietro a Mare.
